Artwork

A Lesson in Seeing Music” is the commissioned artwork serving as the icon for the 2011 Chamber Music Festival of Lexington. It is the work of Lexington artist Lennon Michalski, whose pieces adorn many galleries, private homes and public spaces around the area. A stunning work of oil and resin on canvas, this large (4’ x 5’) piece is on display in various venues in Lexington throughout the summer. A detail of the work will be used to create special labels for bottled water from Highbridge Springs used for promotion and for lapel pins worn by festival supporters. During festival week it will be moved to the Fasig-Tipton Pavilion and serve as a backdrop for the concerts. Following a tradition established during the inaugural festival, the piece will be offered at a silent auction which will close after the Sunday afternoon concert.
